Etats-Unis : entre iOS et Android, Blackberry s'enfonce et Windows Phone stagne

Mobilité : Face aux deux mastodontes que constituent Android et iOS, Windows Phone et Blackberry voient leur part de marché se réduire comme peau de chagrin en Amérique du Nord, révèle une étude de Chitika.
Difficile d’exister face a la domination qu’exercent iOS et Android, notamment en Amérique du Nord. Certes, Windows Phone et Blackberry ne jouent pas dans la cour des grands, mais selon la dernière étude de Chitika, leur utilisation est en baisse (en trafic Web).
L’étude se base sur les données générées par les services de publicité mobile de Chitika au cours des derniers mois. Les analystes se sont concentrés sur le territoire nord américain uniquement, et recoupent une récente étude de Comscore qui dégage les mêmes tendances pour le marché US.
Ainsi au cours du premier trimestre 2014, Windows Phone stagne en regroupant 1% du trafic observé. C'est peu mais c'est mieux que BlackBerry qui ne cesse du chuter pour tomber à 0,8%. Lot de consolation pour Windows Phone : il est donc le troisième OS mobile nord-américain mais avec une part presque symbolique...
 

Un espoir pour Blackberry?
On pourrait attribuer cette lente érosion à l’arrivée de nouveaux acteurs sur le marché, à l’instar de Firefox OS. Mais c’est en réalité Apple qui draine les nouveaux utilisateurs, au détriment de tous les autres OS avec une part de 53,1% pour iOS contre 44,5% pour Android.
Rude période pour les acteurs mineurs donc, mais l’étude relève néanmoins le récent repositionnement stratégique de Blackberry en direction des marchés émergents. Le lancement récent du Z3, destiné au marché Indonésien s’accompagnera d’une mise à jour de l’OS qui passe en version 10.3 et s’offre au passage une remise a niveau visuelle en flat design. Reste à voir si cela suffira a enrayer le naufrage de Blackberry, leader il y a 10 ans sur les smartphones destinées aux entreprises mais aujourd’hui largement écrasé par ses concurrents.

Zopo P5000 and Z5000 with 5000mAh battery announced Zopo has announced two new smartphones - P5000 and Z5000. Both are mid-range smartphones running on Android 7.0 Nougat OS out of the box.
