HTC U11 Lite aka HTC Ocean Life to launch later this year

This year HTC has launched HTC U Ultra, U Play, X10 and U11 till now. If you remember, about a month ago, we came across leaked specifications of a smartphone HTC Ocean Life.

Now, fresh information says that the HTC Ocean Life is actually the codename of the HTC U11 Lite. Along with revealing an image,Android Authority has claimed the smartphone will be launched by the end of 2017. Some of its key specifications have come to light as well. The HTC U11 Lite is expected to come with a 5.2-inch FHD display with the resolution of 1,920×1,080 pixels.
The leaked image of the phone shows that its front-side looks similar to that of the HTC U11 and HTC 10 of last year. Below the display there is a physical home button that will double function as a fingerprint scanner.
While the previous rumors claimed the HTC phone will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset, but this report points towards a Snapdragon 630 chipset. Unfortunately, we have heard no word on the RAM capacity of the device.
The report further reveals that the HTC U11 Lite will offer 32GB of default storage space, which could be expanded with the use of a microSD card.
On the optics front, the Ocean Life aka HTC U11 Lite is likely to feature a 16MP rear-facing main camera as well as a 16MP selfie camera on the front. The rear camera is said to feature phase detection autofocus.
Talking about the battery unit, surprisingly it is said to pack a small 2, 600mAh battery. Other than that, the upcoming HTC phone is speculated to arrive with pre-installed Android 7.1.1 Nougat Os layered with the company's own Sense 9 interface and Bluetooth 5.0. Notably, rumors have it, just like the HTC U11, the HTC U11 Lite will also have the Edge Sense technology.
In addition, the device would feature the HTC USonic technology, which means that the 3.5mm audio jack would be missing. It is justified since most of the smartphones these days ditch the headphone jack and come with a USB Type-C port instead.
The pressure-sensitive edges present on HTC U11as Edge Sense will be also be there on HTC U11 Lite.
The report has not shed any light on the pricing of the smartphone, but it is expected to make a debut exclusively through T-Mobile.
