OxygenOS Open Beta 23/14 released for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T
The Open Beta program for the OnePlus 3 and 3T has been going on for quite a while now. Now, OnePlus has just rolled out OxygenOS Open Beta 23 for OnePlus 3 and Open Beta 14 for OnePlus 3T.
As expected, the update brings a number of major improvements and bug fixes. To start with, the default color profile of the smartphones' display has been changed to match more closely with the alternative sRGB calibration. Besides this, some minor but user visible changes include support for irregular alarm schedule, UI tweaks in the Contacts app and the Ambient Display etc.
The latest OxygenOS Open Beta update has made some changes under the hood as well. For example, the stability of Parallel apps have been improved, location accuracy in the Weather app has been improved, loading time of images inside the Gallery app has been reduced.
Other than that, the update has added E-warranty card, so users can find a version of their warranty card in "About phone > E-Warranty card".
In addition, a new camera feature has been introduced. Now, all the images captured by the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T will carry the watermark "Shot on OnePlus". Well, we don't think everyone will be very happy with this. Some of you may know, this particular feature is also present on the company's current flagship OnePlus 5.
OnePlus's forum mentions that immediately following the update, users might not be able to turn on the flashlight. However, normal functionality will be restored after rebooting the device.
OxygenOS Open Beta 23/14 has started to roll out via OTA to all users currently enrolled in the Open Beta program.
