iVoomi Me 3 and iVoomi Me 3S now available for purchase on Flipkart


A couple of days ago iVoomi launched two new smartphones in India named iVoomi Me 3 and Me 3S. The key highlight of the smartphones is their shatterproof display. Both the smartphones are now available for purchase exclusively on Flipkart.



The iVoomi Me 3 is priced at Rs. 5,499, while the Me 3S carries a price tag of Rs. 6,499. The Me 3 offers 2GB RAM and 16GB native storage and the latter packs 3GB RAM and 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The storage space on both the devices can be further expanded up to 128GB via the microSD card slot. Besides this, the smartphones differ in the camera department. The Me 3 comes with an 8MP Galaxy Core sensor with flash support, HDR Mode, Low-light Photography, Beauty Mode, Panorama, and auto focus. Likewise, there is also an 8MP front camera with LED flash. Coming to the Me 3S, it flaunts a 13MP rear-facing camera with 1.0um Samsung sensor with flash support, HDR Mode, Low-light Photography, Beauty Mode, Panorama, and auto focus. For selfie camera, the iVoomi Me 3S uses an 8MP sensor, which is accompanied by a LED flash. Talking about other aspects, both the iVoomi Me 3 and Me 3S features 5.2-inch HD IPS display (1280×720 pixels) with 2.5 D curved glass, a 64-bit Quad-core MediaTek processor, a 3,000mAh battery with turbo charging support and Android 7.0 Nougat right out of the box. In terms of connectivity, the smartphones offer Bluetooth 4.0, 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB port, dual-SIM slot etc. If you are wondering about color options, the Me 3 and Me 3S are available in Midnight Black, Champagne Gold, and Teal Blue colors.

India rejects demands by Apple on tax incentives India has finally rejected key demands by Apple for customs duty rebate on imported equipment for making iphones in the country. In a written reply to the Lok Sabha, commerce and industry minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that "requests regarding such rebate were examined and... not accepted." Sitharaman said the government has received representations seeking concessions, including 30 percent local sourcing of component, duty exemption on manufacturing and repair units, components, capital equipment and consumables for smart phone manufacturing, service, and repair. Malware apps make their way to Google Play Store Security firm Lookout has detected a series of malicious mobile phone apps that can remotely control the infected smartphones. The app that goes by the name SonicSpy has at least three versions that made their way to the Google Play Store.   This has compromised the security of Android device users. The malware once installed on a device functions as a messaging app however in the background it takes over several functions of a device which includes the ability to send text messages, make calls, access contacts, and Wi-Fi data. Lookout stated that the developer who came up with the malware is most probably based in Iraq.
