Tomorrow, Xiaomi has something big to announce. Well, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A will be unveiled at a press conference in China tomorrow. With just a day left for the launch of the smartphone, we are gradually coming across a lot of speculations and teasers regarding the same.


Lately, we saw that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A will arrive with a soft flash accompanying the front-facing selfie camera. Now, there is another leak that has revealed an even more interesting information. Besides these leaks, the upcoming Xiaomi smartphone is appearing on the certification sites revealing the specifications that we can expect to see on this budget smartphone. Also, the press shots of the Redmi Note 5A were revealed a few days back. Today, we have compiled a slew of rumors and leaks regarding the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A for the Mi fans interested in knowing more details about this smartphone.


Dedicated dual SIM slots 
In a recent leak spotted on Weibo, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A is believed to arrive with three card slots arranged in a single tray as seen in the image above. Well, this image shows that the smartphone will have dedicated dual SIM card slots and a microSD card slot instead of the hybrid dual SIM support that we had been seeing on the Redmi smartphones so long.

Soft selfie flash 
A recent report pointed out that the Redmi Note 5A will feature a soft flash accompanying the selfie camera at the front. If this turns out to be true, the Redmi Note 5A will be the first Xiaomi smartphone to feature a selfie flash. Eventually, it can become one of the selfie-centric smartphones in the market in the budget price bracket as it can click better selfies even under low light conditions.

Two variants expected 
Going by the TENAA listing, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A will be launched in two models with the model numbers MDE6 and MDE6S. The high-end variant is expected to be dubbed Redmi Note 5A Pro or Prime. The company's CEO has confirmed that top-end variant will arrive with a 16MP selfe camera and selfie flash as well.
Rumored specifications
In terms of specs, the Redmi Note 5A is likely to feature a 5.5-inch HD 720p display and run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS topped with MIUI 9. The base model might be launched with a quad-core Snapdragon 425 SoC with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage while the high-end model might have an octa-core Snapdragon 435 SoC with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. Both models are said to support up to 128GB of expandable storage. The base model will have 16MP and 5MP cameras at the rear and front while the top-end one will have 16MP sensors at both the sides and there will be a fingerprint sensor as well. Other common goodies include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and a 3000mAh battery

India rejects demands by Apple on tax incentives India has finally rejected key demands by Apple for customs duty rebate on imported equipment for making iphones in the country. In a written reply to the Lok Sabha, commerce and industry minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that "requests regarding such rebate were examined and... not accepted." Sitharaman said the government has received representations seeking concessions, including 30 percent local sourcing of component, duty exemption on manufacturing and repair units, components, capital equipment and consumables for smart phone manufacturing, service, and repair. She further said that there would be no exemption from basic customs duty, countervailing duty (CVD) and special additional duty (SAD) on imports of articles needed for the repair of the mobile phones. Malware apps make their way to Google Play Store Security firm Lookout has detected a series of malicious mobile phone apps that can remotely control the infected smartphones. The app that goes by the name SonicSpy has at least three versions that made their way to the Google Play Store.   This has compromised the security of Android device users. The malware once installed on a device functions as a messaging app however in the background it takes over several functions of a device which includes the ability to send text messages, make calls, access contacts, and Wi-Fi data.
