ZTE TL99 with 20MP camera spotted on TENNA: Launch imminent


Looks like ZTE is going to launch a new smartphone in the market soon.



Well, Chinese certification authority TENAA has now certified a ZTE smartphone with model numbers TL99. Besides, the appearance on the certification site could only mean one thing, the company is gearing up to unveil the device in the coming days. While the company is yet to announce the details of the smartphone and the release dates officially, the listing does shed some light on the specifications of the upcoming ZTE phone. So going by the details provided on the certification website, ZTE TL99 is featuring a 5.5-inch AMOLED multi-touch display with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. The handset looks to be powered by 2GHz quad-core processor (name not announced) which is paired with 4GB RAM. The ZTE TL99 is offering 64GB internal memory and it is expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD card. Further, the listing, reveals that the handset comes with an 8MP front camera and 20MP camera at the back with auto focus feature and an LED flash. The smartphone seems to be backed by a 3140mAh battery. Talking about the software, the smartphone is running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS. On the connectivity front, the smartphone will support 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS and will sport sensors like gravity sensor, distance sensor, light sensor and a fingerprint sensor. Lastly, ZTE TL99 measures 154.1 x 77.6 x 9.3 mm and weighs 199.36 grams. On the other hand, if you look at the image the design of this smartphone seems to be that of a luxury smartphone. Reports further indicate that this smartphone could be dubbed as ZTE TL99 Lamborghini Tauri Edition. There is also a Lamborghini logo at the back of the phone with 'Tonino Lamborghini' written at the very bottom. It also looks like the device will come with a leather on the back. At the front, there are three capacitive keys present below the phone's display.

India rejects demands by Apple on tax incentives India has finally rejected key demands by Apple for customs duty rebate on imported equipment for making iphones in the country. In a written reply to the Lok Sabha, commerce and industry minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that "requests regarding such rebate were examined and... not accepted." Sitharaman said the government has received representations seeking concessions, including 30 percent local sourcing of component, duty exemption on manufacturing and repair units, components, capital equipment and consumables for smart phone manufacturing, service, and repair. She further said that there would be no exemption from basic customs duty, countervailing duty (CVD) and special additional duty (SAD) on imports of articles needed for the repair of the mobile phones.
