Nokia Camera app now available for download in Google Play Store

Nokia Camera app now available for download in Google Play Store

While Nokia, presently owned by HMD Global has launched only three smartphones so far after its resurrection, we will get to see more in the upcoming months.

Now, the company has made an interesting move. HMD Global has just made the Camera app of its Nokia smartphones available on the Google Play Store. It is worth pointing out, it is HMD's own Camera UI, not the Lumia Camera UI whose patent was said to have transferred by Microsoft to the company recently. If you own a Nokia 3, Nokia 5 or a Nokia 6, then this news holds little importance to you. As the Camera app came pre-installed with those smartphones. However, there is one advantage. Being listed in Google Play Store, the app is expected to get updates on a regular basis. So users wouldn't have to wait for OTA updates anymore since they can update the Camera app directly from the Play Store. On the other hand, the developers of camera enhancement apps could also get benefits from the Nokia app for testing their own apps. Currently, it is not known if the app will be functional as a third party app on other handsets that are not manufactured by Nokia. Meanwhile, Nokia is also releasing the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 in more markets of Asia, Europe, North Africa and some parts of Africa. At the same time, it is gearing up to launch their first flagship under HMD, the Nokia 8. As per the information, we have obtained so far, we will get to see the unveiling of Nokia 8 on August 16, which is just a couple of weeks away.

New Philips phone with 8MP camera visits TENAA

New Philips phone with 8MP camera visits TENAA A Philips smartphone bearing the model number S310X has just been certified by Chinese regulatory authority TENAA. So we assume that the company will first release the smartphone in China. Looking at the TENAA listing, the Philips S310X comes with not so impressive specs. It is listed with 1GB, 2GB and 3GB of RAM for the memory capacity. So most probably, the smartphone will come in three different memory variants. There is another possibility that Philips has not yet decided which amount of RAM would be used. In addition, the Philips phone would be available in three different storage variants as well. The basic version with 8GB, another with 16GB, and the highest one with 32GB of native storage space. So presumably, the Philips S310X will have three variations of this device with the 8GB model corresponding to the 1GB RAM variant, while the 16GB model corresponds to the 2GB RAM variant and the 32GB model corresponds to the 3G...
