While Nokia has already started the sale of its several smartphones, Nokia 3310 and Nokia 3 in the Indian market, the company is now gearing up to take the sale of Nokia 5 live in the country.



As we have said earlier, the smartphone is going to be made available on August 15. And as far as we know Nokia 5 is being launched as an offline exclusive where it will be available in different Nokia dealerships and retail outlets across the country. According to reports, the smartphone is set to be available only in select cities like Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru initially with a wider release expected later. Retailers like Croma, Sangeetha Mobiles, Poorvika and Big C will basically carry the Nokia 5 in their stores. Besides, the Nokia 5 pre-booking already started on July 7 in India. Meanwhile, for now, the device will be available offline but it could also happen that the smartphone could be listed on the Croma website after a few days of its release. In a similar case to Nokia 3, we can expect the Nokia 5 to also enter the online market in the coming weeks. In any case, if you are interested in the smartphone, here are some of the smartphone's key features and specifications that will help you get a much clearer idea of Nokia 5. The smartphone features a unibody metal design and comes in different color variants such as Tempered Blue, Silver, Matte Black, and Copper. Nokia 5 sports a 5.2-inch IPS HD 720p display and is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage that can be further expanded using a microSD card. Talking about the cameras, the Nokia 5 is equipped with a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP selfie camera up front. Running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out of the box, the Nokia 5 s backed by a 3000mAh battery. There are features such as dual SIM support, a USB Type-C port, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and more. The Nokia 5 will retail for Rs. 12,899. Notably, HMD has teamed up with Vodafone in order to provide free 3G/4G data to the buyers of the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 smartphones. The buyers will get additional 45GB of data for five months with these smartphones.
