Nokia 5 sale starts tomorrow: What to expect? Malware apps make their way to Google Play Store Security firm Lookout has detected a series of malicious mobile phone apps that can remotely control the infected smartphones. The app that goes by the name SonicSpy has at least three versions that made their way to the Google Play Store.   This has compromised the security of Android device users. The malware once installed on a device functions as a messaging app however in the background it takes over several functions of a device which includes the ability to send text messages, make calls, access contacts, and Wi-Fi data. Lookout stated that the developer who came up with the malware is most probably based in Iraq. The developer fabricated close to a thousand messaging apps that were malicious in nature and were developed to hijack user's smartphone. Huawei Honor 9 Robin-Egg Blue color variant launched Huawei's elite brand Honor had launched the Honor 9 back in June. The flagship phone got its international release in July. At the time of the launch it was announced that the smartphone will be available in colors like Black, Seagull Gray, Sea Blue and Amber Gold. A few days ago, the Honor 9 was leaked in three new colors; Yellow, Orange and Deep Pink. MIUI accused to have security flaws; Xiaomi denies claims Xiaomi has progressed into one of the leading smartphone manufacturers across the global markets with its strong presence felt in many countries outside China. Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro likely gets confirmed; Gear Sport clears FCC The existence of the Gear Fit 2 Pro has been officially confirmed by the company after the wearable device was spotted by FCC (Federal Communications Commission).
