Moto Z2 Force announced with dual cameras, shatterproof display and more

Finally, Motorola marks the end of countless rumors and leaks with the announcement of the Moto Z2 Force. The device with the ShatterShield technology from the company has been launched a month after the Moto Z2 Play and Moto Mods went officia

The second generation Moto Z2 Force comes with the same durability as the original one and the company assures that the display will never shatter. We have come across several leaked renders of the Moto Z2 Force and these gave us an idea of how the handset might look like. Though there are slight tweaks done to the final design of the smartphone, the overall look appears to be predominately unchanged.

Design
The Moto Z2 Force features an all-metal build and slim design. The 7000 series aluminum build makes the smartphone highly durable. While the original Moto Z Force featured a glass back, the latest one has a brushed metal rear. The antenna lines run along the border line. Even the Moto Mod connector pins seem to be redesigned despite the fact that the Z2 Force will support the older mods. The changes in terms of design are minimal including a redesigned fingerprint sensor or home key and the positioning of the LED flash unit.

Specifications
The Moto Z2 Force adorns a 5.5-inch 2K POLED display featuring the ShatterShield technology. The smartphone employs a Snapdragon 835 SoC and arrives in three variants - 4GB+64GB, 6GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB based on the market. All the variants will support expandable storage with the help of a microSD card. The Moto Z2 Force will be launched in either single SIM or dual SIM variants based on the region. There are connectivity features such as Bluetooth and WiFi with MIMO. The smartphone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat that can be upgraded to Android O and includes a slew of sensors as well. Motorola has ditched the 3.5mm audio jack for a USB Type-C port and there is a 2730mAh battery as claimed by the recent rumors.

Camera
There is a dual 12MP rear camera setup with color and monochrome sensors. Both are 12MP Sony IMX386 sensors with f/2.0 aperture. There is laser autofocus, depth detection and zero shutter lag. The front camera is a 5MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture with flash and pro mode.

Moto Mods
Motorola showed the Moto 360 Caemera mod that can shoot in 4K with immersive audio. There is 150-degree field of view and it supports live streaming directly to social media. This accessory is priced at $299.99 (approx. Rs. 19,000).

Price and Availability
The Moto Z2 Force has been launched in three color variants - Super Black, Lunar Grey and Fine Gold. The device is priced starting from $720 (approx. Rs. 46,000). It will go on sale on August 10 with a free Insta-Share Projector Moto Mod. The device will released in several other countries in the coming weeks.

Already, we’ve taken a close look at two products from its new line, the Samsung Level In and Level Box , that have proven to be surprisingly good when it comes down to audio quality. Hopefully, we can be assured that we’ll experience the same thing with the Samsung Level On, which as its name so happens to imply, is a pair of on-the-ear headphones. From the looks of it, Samsung has opted to go with a uniform design language with its new headphones line. Unlike the premium nature of its portable Bluetooth speaker, the Level Box, the Level On employs the same design characteristics as Samsung’s Level In headphones. Unfortunately, for a...

Facebook has been tweaking News Feed content to play with our emotions Proof: Facebook affects your mood More negative posts in the news feed can affect user emitions A Facebook News Feed packed with negative status updates from peers is more likely to spur individual users to follow suit, a news study carried out by the social network has shown. The company's experiment artificially tweaked the feeds of 689,003 users to show more downcast or more positive updates from their friends over the period of a week. The results, published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science showed a direct correlation between the emotions conveyed in the users' own posts over that period of time. While it's unsurprising that something sad or happy happening to a large number of close friends and acquaintances can affect our emotions, the study offers proof social media is affecting the mood of users, for better our worse.
