Essential phone release just few weeks away: Andy Rubin

Essential phone release just few weeks away: Andy Rubin

There is a new update on Essential PH1 and it is something we were all waiting for. Essential founder Andy Rubin wrote in an email to potential customers that the smartphone will start shipping in a few weeks.

In the email, Rubin mentioned that the smartphone is undergoing testing with US and international carriers and that his team is working restlessly to get the phones out to consumers as soon as possible. He wrote, "I personally wanted to thank you for putting your name down for our first phone. We've been hard at work getting everything ready and the good news is that we're now going through certification and testing with the multiple US and international carriers." The smartphone was announced in May and it was promised that it would release in June. However, June's long gone and there was no news whatsoever regarding the launch of the smartphone until now. Rubin further mentioned, "You might be getting impatient to get your hands on your new Essential Phone (and I'm also impatient to get it to you!) but rest assured that you will have a device in your hands in a few weeks." Rubin requested potential customers to express their support for Essential makers by initiating a shoutout with #thisisessential. Andy mentioned, "In the meantime, give us a shout out using #thisisessential to show the team that sweating the details and working long hours to get this device shipped is worth it." Now that the smartphone release is just a few weeks away with confirmation from Rubin himself, you can start planning out to get hands on this device which is supposed to support several accessories. Essential aims to downsize Apple's market by introducing a premium modular Android smartphone to directly face iPhone.

Samsung Level On Review

Samsung Level On Review Samsung is running on all cylinders in its new venture in the high-end mobile audio accessories space, where they recently introduced its Level series of accessories to compete against some of the more formidable and established names in the market – such as Beats, Monster, and Bose to name a few. Already, we’ve taken a close look at two products from its new line, the Samsung Level In and Level Box , that have proven to be surprisingly good when it comes down to audio quality. Hopefully, we can be assured that we’ll experience the same thing with the Samsung Level On, which as its name so happens to imply, is a pair of on-the-ear headphones. From the looks of it, Samsung has opted to go with a uniform design language with its new headphones line. Unlike the premium nature of its portable Bluetooth speaker, the Level Box, the Level On employs the same design characteristics as Samsung’s Level In headphones. Unfortunately, for a...

Apple iPhone 8 specifications may not have been finalized yet Initially, there were many reports suggesting the iPhone 8 launch would get delayed due to some manufacturing issue. Proving all the speculations wrong, last week Apple sent out invites for the launch event that is to take place on September 12. As usual, the name of the product was not mentioned in the official invite. However, judging from the company's past launching pattern, we are quite sure the iPhone 8 will get launched at the event. Now, with just 4 days left until the launch date, a report by The Investors has revealed a shocking piece of information. According to the publication, the specs line up of the iPhone 8 is not finalized yet. The website claims to have obtained the information from an anonymous representative from Apple's local supplier. The supplier says that the shipments of the 2017 iPhones started only from late August. He further added that its firms are yet to get exact details on t...

Facebook has been tweaking News Feed content to play with our emotions

Facebook has been tweaking News Feed content to play with our emotions Proof: Facebook affects your mood More negative posts in the news feed can affect user emitions A Facebook News Feed packed with negative status updates from peers is more likely to spur individual users to follow suit, a news study carried out by the social network has shown. The company's experiment artificially tweaked the feeds of 689,003 users to show more downcast or more positive updates from their friends over the period of a week. The results, published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science showed a direct correlation between the emotions conveyed in the users' own posts over that period of time. While it's unsurprising that something sad or happy happening to a large number of close friends and acquaintances can affect our emotions, the study offers proof social media is affecting the mood of users, for better our worse. The authors wrote: "In an...
